This design was stitched over one using one strand of thread. If you stitch the two designs on one piece of
linen, leave enough room around both designs for a seam allowance.
Additional Items Needed:
Interfacing for strength
Silk Gauze, Berry Melange SR4 003, Ribbon by Thread Gatherer
Pins were purchased from a local fabric store
A strip of fabric ¼” wide plus seam allowance all around to form the gusset between the front and
back stitched pieces.

Fiber: Needlepoint Silk #991BB (DMC Blanc)
This design was stitched over one using one thread. Although these designs are very small, leave enough
fabric around each one to gather into the container. Cut pieces of fabric at least 4 x 4 to allow enough fabric
to stuff and tuck the finished piece.

Wool felt for stuffing
Salt cellar available on E‐Bay, from an antique store,
Or your Grandmother’s attic.
