Frosty Blue Be sure to look for 2010's October and Christmas Ornament issues of Just Cross Stitch Magazine for Assembling Instructions: Once you have finished stitching the ornament backstitch using the outline as your guide for both the front and back pieces. Trim both pieces to 1/3in. from the stitched border and baste completely around the row edge. Finger press seams allowance to wrong side. Place wrong side’s together, aligning edges. Don’t forget to attach cording and tassel at the appropriate points. Lace together backstitched border, using DMC# 3755 /Presencia#3223. Leave a small opening to stuff with fiberfill. Continue lacing through backstitches. Instructions to beading the edge of the ornament: Start from the top of the ornament next to the cording, use two strands of DMC3325/ 3305Baby Blue and securely attach to the fabric. Place each row of beads no more or less then the width of the bead. Be sure to stop at the tassel and continue again on the opposite side. Continue beading until you reach the top of the opposite side of the cording. Step #1: Place on the needle and thread all at once 3 beads of 10049, 2 beads of 10113, 2 beads of 42017, 1 bead of 42010, 2 beads of 4 2017, 2 beads of 10113 and finally 3 beads of 10049 and attach directly behind the beads and coming through to the side. Step #2: Place on the needle and thread, 2 beads of 10049, 2 beads of 10113, 2 bread of 42017, 1 bead of 42010, 1 bead of 42017, 2 beads of 10113, and finally 2 beads of 10049 and attach. Step #3: Place on the needle and thread, 1 bead of 10049, 1 bead of 10113, 1bead of 42017, 1bead of 42010, 1 bead of 42017, 1 bead of 10113, and finally 1 bead of 10049 and attach. Step #4: Place 1 bead of 42017, 1 bead of 42010, and finally 1 bead of 42017 and attach. Repeat Step # 3 Repeat Step # 2 Repeat Step #1 Continue the same steps in the same order all around the snow flake finishing with step #1 at the very top on the opposite side of the cording from where you started.
